Producer

Oversees the entire podcast. Handles day-to-day production tasks including scheduling, research, guest coordination, and working with the host to develop episode content (some of these tasks may be completed by the host - get clarification before starting on who does what). Create episode outlines and manage the production timeline. Listens to the full show for edits and provides the edits in a todo for the Engineer.

Editor

Listens to the full show for edits and provides the edits in a todo for the Engineer (unless done by Producer).

Host

The voice and personality of the show's pizzaz. Not always the producer.

Engineer

Responsible for technical audio recording, mixing, and editing. They ensure sound quality, handle audio cleanup, add music and sound effects. Creates the final mix. Relistens to the full episode after following the producer's notes for anything that may have been missed (Ex: Poor sound quality, internet issues, and unnecessary information). Adds assets (Ex: Music, Logos, Special Effects...) for the shows into DropBox in a marked folder so others have access. Creation of all graphics, promotional materials, and StreamYard brand (for video podcasts) before any recording (unless Engineer is not specified as Graphics Designer).

Graphics Designer

Creation of all graphics, promotional materials, and StreamYard brand (for video podcasts) before any recording. Can also be a responsibility of the engineer.

Marketing/Social Media Manager

Promotes the podcast across platforms. Engages with listeners, manages the show’s online presence, and develops growth strategies. They often create promotional content and handle audience engagement.
